Incentive for me, as well, to get back to the barre. Needless to say I did a lot of stress eating over the winter. In combination with my natural tendency to hibernate between November and February, the results haven't been pleasant. Going back to class after a long layoff is never easy. Going back after your body has been wrecked puts another spin on it.
While the dancer's goal is to be back in shape for the next Nut Season, mine is both more simple and more complicated.
I'm working on not having a white knuckle death grip on the barre.
